Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Approach

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) are foundational values BCS continually strives to implement. The BCS DEIA Council was established to facilitate this vital work.

  • We believe that Diversity means representation across a wide range of traits, backgrounds, and experiences. When we can connect and engage with colleagues who hold different perspectives than our own, we can more successfully achieve our overall goals.

  • Equity is important for making sure that every employee’s voice is included and heard in the decision-making process, that everyone feels fairly compensated for their work, and that everyone has access to the same opportunities. At BCS, it is essential that everyone we work with feels safe, accepted, and valued and has an equal opportunity to grow and succeed.

  • Inclusion is a sense of belonging in any environment. We believe that employees in inclusive workplaces feel more comfortable sharing their unique ideas and perspectives because they can sense that their differences are genuinely respected and appreciated.

  • Finally, BCS believes Accessibility is giving equitable access to everyone along the continuum of human ability and experience. BCS strives to design, develop, and maintain programs, communications, and services that all people can fully and independently use. This includes accommodations and modifications that ensure equity.

Together, the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility help create a workplace culture that drives BCS’s business forward and builds trust and empathy.
